As we spearhead this revolution, we need a highly experienced and motivated Head of Operations to join our dynamic team and lead the growth and expansion of Sunrise in Europe. As the head of operations, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and scaling our high-profile startup in various European markets. Your primary focus will be on driving the successful execution of our operational strategies, ensuring seamless implementation and growth across different regions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development
Collaborate with the executive team to develop and refine the operational strategy for Sunrise in Europe. This includes identifying key markets, defining target customer segments, and formulating plans for market penetration and expansion.
Market Expansion
Lead the market entry and expansion efforts, establishing Sunrise's presence in new European markets. Conduct market research, assess local regulations and cultural nuances, and devise strategies to tailor our offerings to meet the specific needs of each market.
Team Leadership
Build and manage a high-performing operations team across multiple European locations. Provide clear direction, set performance goals, and foster a collaborative and innovative work environment. Mentor and develop team members to maximize their potential.
Stakeholder Engagement
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including government authorities, partners, vendors, and local communities. Collaborate with external parties to establish strategic partnerships and drive brand awareness.
Operational Excellence
Drive operational efficiency and excellence across all aspects of Sunrise's operations. Continuously evaluate and optimize processes, ensuring seamless execution of our circular platform and sustainable practices.
Performance Monitoring
Implement metrics and reporting systems to track the progress and success of operational initiatives. Analyze data and generate insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate closely with other functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to align operational strategies and ensure a seamless end-to-end customer experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role, driving operations in a high-growth startup environment.
- Extensive knowledge of the European market landscape, with a strong track record of successful market expansion.
- Deep understanding of food and sustainability principles and passion for driving positive environmental impact.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment with a high level of ambiguity.
- Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in other European languages is a plus.
